Probation visits

Probation #2 visit will be this morning. Probation #1 visit went well. They just told him to find another rehab to finish this out, pee tested him, and sent him on his way.

I suspect probation #2 will do the same thing.

The problem is that all of the state-paid beds are always full. He’s been calling around to a bunch of rehabs, and they all say there will be at least an 8-week wait. I’m not sure if probation will let him run the streets that long? So far, they are. I’m kind of surprised! I guess they figure since he did 2/3 of his time in rehab, its ok? Kind of weird. I figured they’d be throwing his butt back in jail.

He’s at the girlfriend’s house, where he’s been since he left rehab. I guess they don’t mind. She still lives at home with her parents, and they are allowing this. Whatever…

  1. I hope that you have a good weekend: one without stress and worry.

  2. Hard to know how the courts are thinking. Keven had to wait in jail for three months for a bed to open, judge flat out told him she didn’t trust him not to OD and it was the best way to keep him alive. But your son has proved he can (so far) manage to stay clean or his butt would be back in jail, right?

  3. I’m glad he’s contacting them and making his calls. Yay! Hopefully a bed will open soon.

Wishing you a good weekend with some time to do something you enjoy!

  4. After all this time involved in this world of addiction…the use part, the court part, the jail part, the rehab part, the probation part, etc. I still don’t understand most of the decisions and actions that are made/taken! It defies belief.

I’m just glad he is doing what he needs to do at this point. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
